Just one of those days . . .
What happened to me today:
Woke for no reason at 4:30am
Fitful sleep from then until 7:45
Went to gym where Ipod crapped out on me
Missed EO
Attempted to put windows on macbook, ended up missing TransNat while waiting for IT guy to help me and inevitably missed the deadline for downloading the exam software
Watched the law quad hawk eat a squirrel carcass for five minutes
Went home and took a nap
On the way back to the law school was hit by a car, thankfully was not physically hurt just a little shaken. Actually it was more of a slow moving tap, but still people.
what does all this mean? its definitely finals time.
epiphany
so i was reading some old posts from this time last year, they seemed waaay more interesting and crazy. i realized that last year i was depressed and angry about law school and life at law school. now i must admit that i really like law school and life at law school. its true, i've become one of those annoying law students who are involved, smiling, relatively well adjusted, et. when did this happen? why did it happen? does this mean interesting blog posts are only available to the mentally unstable. i mean if its true for great art, why not blogs?
on another note i liked casino royale. daniel craig can be my bond any day:)
O-H! I-O!
Yay! We're going to the national championship! Go Bucks! since i can't actually say any of this outloud to anyone here, I am proclaiming my love for Ohio State and the Buckeyes in the silence of the internet. Today was amazing, go bucks!!!!!!!!!
they don't know what's coming
i thought this was hilarious when i read it. its from an email sent out to the student body at current school. people from old school should be entertained.
We know that it can be uncomfortable being in an opposing team's environment, especially when the stakes are so high. We would like to offer a few suggestions in order to help you stay safe and have a positive experience this weekend:
--Try carpooling to the game; if possible, drive a car with non- Michigan license plates.
--Keep your Michigan gear to a minimum, or wait until you are inside the stadium to display it.
--Stay with a group.
--Know and obey the laws regarding alcohol use.
--If you are of legal age to drink, use alcohol in moderation. Stay in the blue.
--Stay low-key; don't draw unnecessary attention to yourself.
--If verbally harrassed by opposing fans, don't take the bait.
--Avoid High Street in Columbus.
i can't believe you don't shut up!
its 3 am and my undergrad neighbors are having a very loud sing along to the boyz II men hit "end of the road." they have been singing along for the past freaking half hour! there is nothing worse than drunk wannabe frat boys singing early nineties R&B when all you want to do is sleep.
i feel sick
apparently raw cookie dough w/chocolate chips and m&ms, a hard boiled egg,a cup of black tea, and a cup of green tea is not the breakfast of champions. It is however, only about 200 calories.
it's the return of the mac
the first computer i ever used was my parents old apple IIg. the screen was black and green, and i remember playing exciting games like ms. pac man and 1984 olympics on it with a lovely beige joystick. i was lucky in that there was not time in my life when my family didn't have a computer. i was unlucky in that my parents held on to that stupid computer until i was 12, when my rants about the need for something that ran microsoft word were answered with a shiny new dell. so began my affair with pcs. i had a vaio all through college and into the working world. however my job required me to use my mortal enemy, marv the candy colored imac. law school comes along and i join the masses by purchasing the now deceased thinkpad with the cool fingerprint sensor.
and now?
i have once again returned to the land of the apple. my new mac book is white and shiny and picks up internet sooo sooo much better than the stupid thinkpad. i love it. and i feel cool like that guy who is the mac in those mac ads, instead of the nerdy pc. pc users are nerds.
on another note, this what i have eaten today:
breakfast: a bowl of rice, kheema, dhal, and tea, strawberries
lunch: seven chips with salsa and cheese, a boiled egg, green tea, three bites of tiramasu flavored gelato, strawberries, one sweet tart
all that equals 1382 calories (about) - which leaves me like 200 calories for the rest of the day.
when i actually look at how and what i eat, i can see why many have accused me of having "stupid food logic"
EDIT: ok so i just worked out, probably burned around 200 calories, so that gives me 400 for the rest of the day
