burns' slanted drilling
in the who shot mr burns episode of the simpsons, the elementary school discovers oil and mr. burns than creates a slanted drilling company to take the oil. while funny and a good set up for the show, this was actually a violation of well stated property law. although resources like oil are fugitive in that if a common pool lies under two distinct tracts of property, both property owners have the right to extract as much as they want from the common pool, one cannot angle undergroud onto someone else's land to capture resources, assuming none of their land lies above the resource pool. this rule promets certianty, exclusivity, and fairness.i hate you law school, you've reached into that holiest of treasured relics, the simpsons, and dirtied it with your unfunny logic and rules.

the main point of the simpson's and also the reason for the iran/iraw war....funny how life is all interconnected in the end...i want to see george clooney..or anyone else
