my life so far. . .
1. i went to the ohio state fair. you can't grow up in a midwestern state without attending at least one state fair. and now i have. i spent time near barnyard animals and ate many many fried things - of course my body is still trying to digest these many fried things. however one has not lived until they have had bisquick fried oreos and cheese on a stick.2. i got out of my speeding ticket, hurrah! yay for female lawyer solidarity. basically i told the prosecutor i was a law student, so she worked it so my case was dismissed! now i have to pay it forward and help young female lawyers in my future career as a kabob vendor in santa fe.
3. i bought a suit. black, banana republic, two button. it took less time than originally thought. however now i need shoes. i want these cute 3 1/2 inch black heels with gray strips of leather criss-crossing at the toe. is that appropriate? all the other black shoes are ugly and boring. pwah! (sound of spitting written out).
4. oh god why haven't i picked an apt???? i was supposed to do that today. i just need to suck it up and decide if i should press for roomies or live on own. really its a choice between bathroom lifestyles. part of it is that getting a place means that i really am heading back to the school up north. not that i don't like law school, its just that i enjoy sitting on my ass and watching reruns of charmed more.
3a. crap, i forgot i need to hem the stupid suit. why is life so difficult, why??

you can get the suit hemmed here if you don't in Ohio, but Sehar, dude, you HAVE TO find an apartment. It's past mid-August and I'm getting nervous.
Well, I guess I already said I was getting nervous for you a while back. You said it seemed like there were still places available. Either way, find a place!!
Or Mansoor and I'll get started on turning our study into an extra bedroom.
PS: Can't comment on the shoes, I know nothing about what's appropriate for a job interview. But they sound really cute.
i know i'm an idiot and i'm sorry to cause you guys and probably a bunch of other people worry. i am sending in a deposit for a place tomorrow morning. small but close to campus and really, it was available. i'll call you when i get into town, probably tues afternoon.
dude just be glad you found a suit. i tried on like 10 suits without finding one i liked, so i'm sticking with my one from last year.
Congrats!! And do you mean this Tuesday because that's perfect. We're thinking about having a get-together on Thursday.
