it's the return of the mac

the first computer i ever used was my parents old apple IIg. the screen was black and green, and i remember playing exciting games like ms. pac man and 1984 olympics on it with a lovely beige joystick. i was lucky in that there was not time in my life when my family didn't have a computer. i was unlucky in that my parents held on to that stupid computer until i was 12, when my rants about the need for something that ran microsoft word were answered with a shiny new dell. so began my affair with pcs. i had a vaio all through college and into the working world. however my job required me to use my mortal enemy, marv the candy colored imac. law school comes along and i join the masses by purchasing the now deceased thinkpad with the cool fingerprint sensor.

and now?

i have once again returned to the land of the apple. my new mac book is white and shiny and picks up internet sooo sooo much better than the stupid thinkpad. i love it. and i feel cool like that guy who is the mac in those mac ads, instead of the nerdy pc. pc users are nerds.

on another note, this what i have eaten today:
breakfast: a bowl of rice, kheema, dhal, and tea, strawberries
lunch: seven chips with salsa and cheese, a boiled egg, green tea, three bites of tiramasu flavored gelato, strawberries, one sweet tart
all that equals 1382 calories (about) - which leaves me like 200 calories for the rest of the day.

when i actually look at how and what i eat, i can see why many have accused me of having "stupid food logic"

EDIT: ok so i just worked out, probably burned around 200 calories, so that gives me 400 for the rest of the day

thanks for reminding me that I'm a nerd and that I had about 2000 calories in my last meal alone. all in the same post.

You do seem more like the Mac guy. I've always been the PC guy, down to the glasses. That commercial is so right. I've never met a Mac guy with bad hair.

I see you're a fellow calorie counter. Every day, I look up how many calories are in my Starbucks drink. It makes me feel like I've taken the first step to losing weight.

I am also a thinkpad nerd. I am secretly envious of the world of Mac users. They just look so slick and shiny. The Macs that is, not the users. Although, the users could be too.

Hmm, yes. Calories. I love them, as is evident by my 2 fast-food meals today. Yum.
